2. Services
Modern Vision Painting provides interior and exterior painting, cabinet refinishing, door painting, drywall patching, gutter painting, wallpaper removal, and related preparation and repair services in Sacramento and surrounding areas. The specific scope of work for any project will be described in your written estimate or proposal, which forms part of the agreement between us.
3. Estimates & Pricing
Estimates are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. Pricing is based on the conditions observed and information provided at the time of the estimate. If the actual scope, surface conditions, or materials differ once work begins, we will discuss any change with you and provide a written change order before proceeding. Verbal estimates are not binding.
4. Scheduling & Site Access
Project timelines are estimates and may be affected by weather, material availability, or unforeseen site conditions. You agree to provide safe, reasonable access to the work areas, along with access to water and electricity as needed. Please secure pets and remove or protect fragile belongings prior to the start of work.
5. Payment Terms
Payment terms, including any deposit and final balance, are set out in your written estimate or proposal. Final payment is due upon completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing. Late payments may be subject to reasonable fees as permitted by California law. We accept the payment methods identified on your invoice.
6. Cancellations & Rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us as much notice as possible. Cancellations may be subject to charges for materials already purchased or work already performed. Where required by law, you may have the right to cancel a home-improvement contract within three business days of signing; any such right will be described in your contract.
7. Warranty
We stand behind our workmanship. Any warranty on labor and its duration will be stated in your written proposal. Manufacturer warranties on paints and materials are provided by the manufacturer and passed through to you. Warranties do not cover damage caused by normal wear, settling or structural movement, moisture intrusion, abuse, or alterations made by others after completion.
8. Customer Responsibilities
You are responsible for ensuring you have the authority to authorize work at the property and, where applicable, that any required HOA or permit approvals are in place. You agree to disclose known hazards such as lead-based paint, mold, or asbestos. Homes built before 1978 may require lead-safe work practices under federal law, which we will follow as applicable.
9. Limitation of Liability
Modern Vision Painting is licensed (CSLB License #1100931) and insured. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of the Services is limited to the amount paid by you for the specific work giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
10. Project Photography
We may photograph completed work for our portfolio, website, and social media. These images typically show the finished space only and not identifying details. If you prefer that we not photograph or share images of your project, simply let us know in writing and we will honor your request.
11. Website Use & Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, logos, graphics, and images, is the property of Modern Vision Painting or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without prior written permission. Any forms or estimate requests submitted through the site must contain accurate information.
12. Privacy
Information you submit through our website or estimate forms, such as your name, phone number, email, and project details, is used solely to respond to your request and provide our Services. 13. Governing Law
